BACKYARD TREE CARE WORKSHOP: The Truckee Meadows Forestry Coalition hosts its inaugural Backyard Tree Care Workshop at West Street Market in downtown Reno. The workshop consists of five, half hour seminars led by local experts and will focus on new and existing tree care, new tree selection, planting and watering and xeriscaping with trees. Local arborists, garden shops and tree care specialists will be present to answer questions and distribute informational materials. Beginning at Wingfield Park, there will be a Historic Tree Walking Tour before the workshop at 8am. Sa, 8/29, 9am 1pm. Free.

The group has released four studio albums during their 11 years together and has performed at rock clubs and festivals across the country, including the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Austin City Limits Festival and Bonnaroo Arts Festival.
